bio
Jennifer Payne is an author, freelance writer, teacher, and social activist. She is a graduate of Queen's University (Canada) and holds a Master of Arts degree in Public History from the University of Western Ontario. As an actor, Jennifer trained with the likes of Jack Waltzer and Anne Tait and at such venues as the Albany Theatre and Riverside Studios in London, UK. Her writing has been published in journals, anthologies and online magazines in both Canada and the UK. She is the author of three novels. Jennifer is currently working on her third novel, Crippled Pigeons, for which she received a grant from the Toronto Arts Council. Jennifer is an active member of the Toronto Branch of the Canadian Authors Association, the Toronto Arts Coalition and PEN Canada.
Jennie lives in the Distillery District neighbourhood in downtown Toronto with her two cats, Rio Loco and Biko.
